Miranda Schmidt Content Strategist

“The Librarian”

Miranda loves collaborating with clients to help them tell their stories. She’s organized, creative, strategic, and has a sharp eye for detail. Miranda has an extensive background in writing and editing and a passion for making words sing.

Miranda’s love of words began way back in the Prairie State where she grew up writing bad poetry and reading voraciously. She likes to say she moved to the Northwest for a rare college program (she spent half a second as a Medieval Studies major – ask her about eleventh century Welsh!), but really she just fell in love with the trees. After completing her BA in English at the University of Oregon and her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Washington, Miranda began teaching college students to love words just as much as she does. She’s also worked as a freelance writer and editor on a variety of projects including book editing, web content creation, fiction writing, and blogging.

When she isn’t content strategizing at Murmur, you might find Miranda moonlighting as a writing teacher, reading around town, or editing her literary journal. She also loves hiking, coffee, bookstores, and curling up with her two cats on rainy Portland days.
