Photography
The design brings a modern spin to classic Italian aesthetics, with nods to hallmarks like striped awnings and trattoria windows. A take on a classic Italian signage, the logo is layered into the design with touches of warmth and playfulness.
Frozen Format Refresh
This shift not only met retailer expectations but also gave the brand a larger canvas to express its personality. The box format let us introduce layered visual details like horizontal banners, rich colors, and elevated type, while photography captured the signature rise of the Sicilian crust through an angled cut designed to shine, even in a top-down view.
Influencer Kit Launch
Tucked inside was a smaller swag box featuring apparel, a tote, and a hat, all designed with a charming illustration of Nonna, the heart of Massa’s family story. The red-and-cream color palette tied it all together, creating a memorable unboxing moment for food influencers.

Fresh Format, Same Flavor
Alongside the frozen line, Massa also offers take-and-bake pizzas in a fresh format. These are packaged in trays with a clear wrap that lets the product speak for itself. We adapted the design system to fit this alternate format, simplifying content for the smaller label while retaining key brand elements.
