Woodlawn Coffee and Pastry is a iconic Portland coffee spot, great for bringing your kids or relaxing with a hot cappuccino.
We approached the Woodlawn identity by researching old fashioned candy- and drug-store signage. We wanted something that was ornate and had a “Willy Wonka” vibe, but also vintage Americana.
We designed angular letters with a wood-cut appearance to give the logo a handmade feel. We used a tarnished gold color to highlight the fantastical nature of the brand.
