Logo Creation

Mule Extracts

Mule Extracts, an Oregon craft cannabis company, needed a logo that reflected the unusually high quality of their products for their price point. Their name points to the brand’s everyperson quality, but their products themselves evoke a playful sense of luxury.

We crafted the logo and tagline in tandem to capture those three key characteristics, adding whimsical wings to the classic mule silhouette to match their new “Take the High Road” slogan. The winged mule was displayed in a metallic gold, so the luxurious quality of the product experience is front and center.

SigmaDesign

SigmaDesign is a highly accomplished product design and engineering firm, with the ability to design, engineer, build, and test just about any product or system in-house. Their highly technical services provided a lot of room for concept exploration, including “if SigmaDesign was an animal, what would they be?”

Our designers landed on the hummingbird. A representation of nature’s perfect design, it naturally connected with Sigma’s mission while also symbolizing their quick, precise way of working. To bring it all together, we brought the Greek symbol for Sigma (“Σ”) into the wings of the hummingbird and the letter “D” into the body.

Ultima Replenisher

Many brands want to refresh their look and transition seamlessly from old to new branding, and we accomplished just that for Ultima. They needed to preserve their existing brand equity, so we modernized and refined their current logo rather than starting anew. We brought rich, delicious colors to the design, eliciting the fruit each flavor comes from and helping Ultima stand out amongst the pharmaceutical aesthetic common throughout the electrolyte market.

Our Logo Design Process

Our process has been fine tuned over a decade and a half of hands-on creative exploration and execution. We ensure that our collaborative, enthusiastic approach works for any kind of brand, no matter the size or the industry.

1. Discovery Phase

We’ll kick off the project by gathering and analyzing information from you and our competitor research. Our team will align your brand positioning and strategy with design inspiration to inform the upcoming phases.

2. Conception Phase

This round focuses on the concept behind the logos, so we’ll present digital sketches of our initial concepts, and we’ll work together to narrow it down to your favorite.

3. Exploration & Refinement Phases

The new logo will start to come to life here as we explore multiple execution styles within your chosen concept. We’ll use your feedback to fine tune the wordmark, graphics, and color palette and develop the final logo.

4. Production Phase

Finally, we’ll showcase the completed logo pack, and you’ll see your visual identity in use across printed and digital touchpoints. We’ll deliver a visual toolkit to help you use your new logo with confidence.
